You don't always need fancy rings for your plant hanger, BUT if you have some — use them!

There are SO many different and fun ways to start a plant hanger, but here are 4 easy ways just to get started!
1. An Overhand Knot
Determine the number and length of cords you need and find the middle — now just make a big overhand knot, leaving the size loop you'd like. Just make sure you keep all cords roughly the same length while tying so some don't end up too short or too long.
2. A Wrap Knot
For this method I used a ring — fold all cords in half and pull through the ring. For the Wrap Knot you'll need an extra 1–2 ft of cord to wrap around the bundle and secure it.
3. A Wrap Knot Loop
This uses 2 wrap knots! Find the center of your cords and make a straight wrap knot with an extra cord (length depends on the loop size you want). Fold this wrap knot bringing the two ends together to create a loop, then tie a second wrap knot around all the cords underneath to secure it.
4. A Square Knot
The Square Knot is the easiest way to start a plant hanger (in my opinion) with or without a ring. With a ring: pull all cords through and take 1–2 from each side to tie your square knot. Without a ring: fold cords in half, leave a few un-tied for the loop, and tie the square knot below — the un-tied cords lock in once you start knotting your hanger.
